Rugby - How to get involved - Titans Sport - Tauranga Boys' College

COMPETITION: 
Term 2 and 3: All teams play in various interschool competitions. All teams play in their respective Divisions of the Bay of Plenty Secondary Schools Competition.  Representative teams compete in interschool and Super 8 competitions. Most games are played on a Saturday, but some Traditional Fixtures will be played midweek.

TRAINING: 
Trainings are on Nicholson Field. They begin at 3.30pm and normally go until 5.00pm. Senior teams generally train on Tuesday and Thursday; Junior teams generally train on Monday and Wednesday.

VENUES:
 All games are played either at Tauranga Boys’ College on Nicholson Field, or at the opposition School’s rugby ground. As all teams play in the Baywide Competition, these games could be played anywhere from Katikati to Rotorua and Opotiki.

UNIFORM: All teams will be supplied with a playing jersey. Some teams will be supplied with shorts and socks, but most will have to purchase their own playing shorts and socks from the School uniform shop. Representative teams will also have a gear bag and Tracksuit supplied.

EQUIPMENT:
 Mouthguards are supplied by the School, but each player is responsible for their own rugby boots, headgear etc.

COSTS: $75 for Juniors.     $95 for Seniors.
This fee covers First Aid, ground maintenance, additional equipment, mouthguard and affiliation fees.
Representative teams also have costs associated with tournaments and exchanges.
