TEACHER IN CHARGE:   Mr Dhiren Rugnathji

COMPETITION:  Local competition in terms 2 and 3. Interschool exchanges for selected competitive teams. National competition for 1st and 2nd XI and Under 15 sides.

TRAINING:  Trials will be held at the end of Term 1. Frequency and times for training will be dependant on team selected for.  We are fortunate to have seven staff members and a number of Old Boys with significant hockey pedigree as coaches.

VENUES:  Training at TBC and local competition at the Tauranga Hockey Association turf, Mt Maunganui (Blake Park). Tournament locations vary.

UNIFORM:   TBC Hockey supplies all of its teams with a playing shirt. Junior teams will wear their PE shorts. Socks will be available from the school shop at the beginning of the season. The 1st, 2nd  and Under 15 Representative XI's are provided with full playing kit as well as tracksuit with a gear bag for tournament play.

EQUIPMENT:  Players will need to provide their own hockey stick. There may be some sticks available for loan for beginners. Suitable shoes for playing on the artificial surface required.

COSTS:  $100.00 deposit - and the balance of the total Registration Fee to be confirmed once teams are entered (as at 20.02.2024).
This covers local competition, administration and turf fees. There will be additional associated costs for tournaments.
